Chair Student Activity Fee Committee

  • On a weekly basis, managed a committee of 10 students, wrote agendas, ran meetings, typed minutes, delegated various responsibilities, contacted advisors of all fee-receiving groups.

  • Meetings ran two hours long and were held weekly for all of winter term (8 weeks) and for the last 3 weeks of the fall term. Agendas consisted of discussions regarding the budgets of nineteen fee-receiving groups on campus, discussions judging the budgets according to the criteria in the College Online Policy and Procedure System (COPPS), voting on funding allocations, and voting on an overall Student Activity Fee.

Responsible for checking out customers, being knowledgeable of sales, putting out merchandise, performing opening/closing duties.

Fall 2019

Hunger and Homelessness Campaign Coordinator OSPIRG Students

Planned, gathered volunteers, and ran OSPIRGs “Trick or Can Event” as well as several service projects, volunteer events, and tables throughout the term.

June 2019 - August 2019

Canvasser Environment Oregon / OSPIRG

  • Built public support for campaigns through fundraising ($), public education (conversations), building membership, gathering petitions, and identifying volunteers through door to door canvassing.

  • Trained and managed a team of 3-5 individuals each day, giving them the skills and motivation to hit their individual goals. Maintained professional and financial integrity by tracking hours worked by staff, fundraising, and political field product collected.

  • Developed and executed a plan to maximize campaign product gathered in specific towns and districts by analyzing performance, making improvement plans, matching staff with neighborhoods to organize that matched their skills and experience, and conveying political importance of organizing the town to their team.

January 2019 - June 2019

Media Coordinator OSPIRG Students

  • OSPIRG cohosted an event with Bee Campus USA called "A Planting Event." This got students involved with planting bee-friendly plants and flowers on campus to aid the bee population.

  • My responsibilities were to email out a press release to news stations in the Springfield/Eugene area, call each station to ensure that the event was on their calendar, and to call them the day of to remind them in hopes of getting a story.

January 2019 - June 2019

Senator Associated Students of Lane Community College Student Government

  • Learned parliamentary procedures during weekly Work Sessions and Senate Meetings.

  • Discussed and voted on new policies, procedures, and funding requests.

  • Attended a Cultural Competency seminar to begin my journey as an ally to students of color.

March 2017 - June 2019

Concessionist, Usher, Box Office Cinemark 17

  • Concessionists serve customers food and beverages, restock as necessary, consistently upsell products, and clean the concession stand. Aware of any discounts, combinations, and merchandise available for purchase.

  • Ushers clean the theatres before show times, provide help to customers, sanitize bathrooms, and take out trash. Flexibility within all above positions.

  • In the box office, employees sell tickets and answer telephone calls. Often requires multitasking, friendly assistance regarding movie options and seat choice, as well as being knowledgeable enough to answer any questions on the phone.
